Australia produced 113,815 t of cucumbers worth A$224.9 million in the year to June 2025. South Australia (38,758 t, mostly protected cropping on the Adelaide Plains around Virginia) and Queensland (35,283 t) are the largest producers (Hort Innovation). Almost all are sold domestically.
Telegraph (continental), Lebanese and field slicers each have their own pack formats and retailer specs. Cucumbers chill below about 10 °C and yellow near ethylene, so storage records matter.
