Quality control at every stage

  1. Incoming / receivalCheck every supplier delivery before it is accepted; reject or downgrade with photos.
  2. Pre-packConfirm the lot meets the pack spec before it goes on the line.
  3. Post-packSample finished cartons for weight, grade, label and defects.
  4. StorageRe-inspect lots held in cool or controlled-atmosphere storage.
  5. Pre-shippingFinal check on the pallet; the report travels with the shipment.
  6. Customer claimsLink a claim to the original inspection, photos and temperatures.

Why digital QC pays

Paper QC sheets arrive late, are hard to search and cannot be shared with a grower while the truck is still in the yard. A rejected load without photos becomes a price negotiation. A customer claim without the original inspection becomes a credit note.

Producepak records every inspection against the lot, with photos, temperatures and scores, and sends the result to the people who need it within seconds. Suppliers see what you see; sales knows which lots to ship first; and the history builds supplier scorecards that support pricing and sourcing decisions.

  • Inspection templates per crop, customer and stage – your own tests, limits and scoring

Questions

What is fresh produce quality control?

Checking produce against a specification – size, colour, maturity, defects, temperature and weight – at receival, before and after packing, in storage and before shipping, and recording the result so it can be acted on and proven later.

What is the difference between QC and QA?

Quality control inspects product and records results. Quality assurance is the system around it – specifications, HACCP, audits, training and corrective actions – that prevents problems. Producepak records both.

Can I use my own tests and limits?

Yes. Inspection templates are built per crop, customer and stage, with your tests, tolerances and scoring.

Does QC link to traceability?

Yes. Every inspection is attached to the lot, so results follow the product to the pallet, PO, invoice and customer – and appear in a recall trace.
